Listed by Business World in its January 29, 2001 issue as one of the Best Banks in terms of Customer Service along with the giants in the industry. This was based on a survey conducted by New York-based Audits and surveys Worldwide (ASW) last January 12 to 15, 2001.

Included among Top 2,000 banks worldwide as published in "The Banker"'s August 2000 issue. The Banker is a globally-distributed publication of the Financial Times of London. Ranking was based according to the banks' Tier 1 or Core Capital, a global standard indicator of strength in the industry. Asiatrust was placed at 1,637, and was the only Philippine thrift bank to be included in the listing. Grouped on a per country basis, Asiatrust ranked first in terms of soundness versus all other Philippine banks. Soundness was measured through a risk-based capital ratio, expressed as a percentage of qualifying capital to risk-weighted assets. The bank's capital-assets ratio of 18.85% was well above that prescribed by the Monetary Board of 8% for commercial banks and 10% for thrift banks.
